Each time he listened about the gopis’ love, he felt a longing he couldn’t explain.
Slowly, his inner world started changing.
Meeting Mahaprabhu: The Inner Revolution
One day, while listening to the pastimes of Śrī Gauranga Mahaprabhu, something awakened inside him. It felt as if Mahaprabhu Himself was gently touching his heart:
“तुम मेरी शरण में आओ, मैं तुम्हें अपने प्रेम का एक कण भी दे दूँ, तो तुम्हारा जीवन बदल जाएगा।”
That day, Ashwin realized:
He was not meant to live an ordinary life.
He was meant to serve, inspire, and spread bhakti.
It wasn’t a dramatic moment—it was a quiet revolution inside the soul.
Transformation Begins
Ashwin started reading more, serving more, chanting more, and sharing devotional wisdom with people around him. What began as interest soon became a passion… then a purpose… and eventually, a sacred calling.
People around him noticed the change—his calmness, his compassion, his spiritual depth, and his ability to explain scriptures with simplicity and love.
Becoming Gaur Priy Das
When a person begins walking towards Krishna, Krishna sends the name too.
In deep prayer one day, Ashwin felt an inner voice:
“तुम अब केवल अश्विन नहीं… तुम मेरे प्रिय दास हो—
‘गौर प्रीय दास’।”
This wasn’t just a name change.
It was the opening of a new life.
Ashwin Thakur, the seeker, transformed into Gaur Priy Das, the servant of Sri Gauranga.
This name became his identity, his mission, and his offering.

As Gaur Priy Das, he now:
